Hot Springs, AR

We arrived after dark and were able to quickly get set up in our spot before turning in for the night. It was still rainy and forecasted to be gross for most of our time here. The rain allowed us to get lots of computer work done (including posting this blog and making reservations for our next three stops).

We met some fun neighbors who were camping in a retro-fitted military ambulance from the UK and had no AC. While working remotely, they have been on the road for eight weeks with their two dogs (a Vizsla and a Weimaraner).

On Wednesday, 6/9 (1st non-rainy day), we explored Hot Springs and got our 1st cancellation or stamp in our National Parks Passport. We enjoyed a private hot springs bath at the Quapaw Baths & Spa. Before heading back to MandDy and the animals.

Overall the animals seem to be figuring things out and are enjoying looking outside. We couldn’t set up the catio (yes, Rob made a catio for the RV so they can get some fresh air) because of the weather, but we hope our next spots, the weather will be nicer. We are hopeful that they get to know the routines as the journey continues and their comfort levels increase.

We added two new stickers to our map! Though we didn’t stay overnight in Mississippi, we traversed the state and visited the state before this trip.

Thursday, we head through the Ouachita National Forest to Robbers Cave State Park in Wilburton, OK (178 miles).
